Overview
WHA’s Space Transformations represent their original mission service: helping families be families. Services include functional aesthetic makeovers, door-widening, new flooring, therapeutic + sensory equipment, ADA bathrooms, and ramps. The level of service for a project will be determined after an in-home assessment with the WHA team. Individuals approved for the program will also receive a fundraising link to help raise funds for their space transformation.

This offering includes a carefully curated design personalized to your space and needs, with a focus on creating environments that positively influence well-being through neuroaesthetic principles such symmetry and balance and color psychology. It’s a great solution for those outside our current service area or who may not require a full room transformation. After completing a short online survey and a brief phone or video consultation, our team will create a customized plan that fits your situation—incorporating design elements known to enhance cognitive function, mood, and sensory experience. You’ll receive guidance and resources to bring the design to life on your own timeline. You will also receive a personalized fundraising page and unique link, making it easy for individuals to contribute and support your efforts directly. This program is available for ALL AGES, ensuring that the environment fosters comfort and mental clarity for everyone.

Meet the Designer Behind the Transformations
Nena holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. With a strong background in the design industry, she has worked as a hospitality designer with leading firms in Baltimore and Atlanta before transitioning into a sales representative role. Nena joined the Welcome Home Angel team in Spring 2023 and has successfully led and completed over 12 projects, bringing creativity, expertise, and a passion for transforming spaces to every project she oversees.
