Strut for Kids mission is to provide assistance funds to families in the greater Wilmington Area who have a child diagnosed with cancer.

S.H.A.R.E

The S.H.A.R.E Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children and their families through provision of funding for a walker or other necessary assistive devices, assistance with daycare tuition, funding for extracurricular activies, meeting a family’s basic needs, and assistance with necessary bills for families in crisis.

ShareCare Network provides a platform for special needs families to exchange free respite care services.

Child Development Center

Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celelbration caes and other treates to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.  

Grandparent Support Network: Program of YWCA

Grandparent Support Network is a support group for grandparents who are providing full time care to their grandchildren.  

Grandparents' Support Network

The Grandparents’ Support Network offers loving fellowship and support through weekly dinners at First Presbyterian Church to local grandparents raising their grandchildren.

ACCESS of Wilmington

The Mission of ACCESS of Wilmingotn is to develop recreational programs and partnerships throughout Southeastern North Carolina to facilitate inclusive activities for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities and their families; thus, positvely impacting their health, wellness, and quality of life.

disAbility Resource Center

The mission of the disAbility Resource Center (dRC) is to empower persons with disabilities to become and maintain their independence in their communities.  

Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM)

The mission of WARM is to make people safe in their own homes by organizing volunteers and raising funds to complete urgent repairs and accessibility upgrades, for low-oncome homeowners.

Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity

Through community partnerships, volunteers, and donors, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabs homes to be purchased by Future Homeowners on terms they can afford.  

CAP-C Program at New Hanover Regional Medical Center

The Community Alternative Program (CAP) at NHRMC provides case management services to help eligible Medicaid beneficiaries receive needed care in their homes.  

Trillium Health Resources

Trillium provides services for individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), some of which who may not have Medicaid but could qualify for state-funded services.

Easter Seals UCP

Easter Seals UCP creates opportunities, promotes individual choice, and changes the lives of children and adults with disabilities by maximizing their individual potential to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.  

Special Olympics of New Hanover County

Special Olympics offers 11 sports in addition to seasonal dances and social get-togethers, and Camp Shriver, a sports day camp, for individual with Intellectual Disabilities.  

Coastal Kids Therapy

At Coastal Kids Therapy, we provide a focus on sensory processing as the basis for all development, with services that address fine motor, gross motor, and visual motor skills as they relate to the daily childhood “occupations” of play, self-care and learning.  

Family Support Network of Southeastern North Carolina

A range of services for families with special needs children, including: a parent support program, assistance with school issues, information and resource referrals, training to become your child’s best advocate, a lending library, quarterly newsletters, and an annual Coming Together Conference for parent-professional collaboration.
